THE CONGRAGATION IS GRATEFUL DUE THE PERMITTED TO PRAY AT MOSQUE DURING THIS RAMADHAN

SHAH ALAM - Thursday, 15 April 2021. According to state Exco for Islamic Religious Affairs, Consumer Affairs, and Halal Industry Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni, Muslims in Selangor are permitted to pray 20 rak'ahs of taraweeh prayers at mosques and suraus during Ramadan this year.

When performing the sunnah prayers, however, he said, mosque and surau management was advised to recite short surahs or popular verses. "The Regular Sunnah prayers operative procedure (SOP) is the same as Friday Prayers where the Congregation has its own prayer mats to carry, check the temperature, wear a facial mask, and register before it goes to the mosque," said the press conference today following the Tautan Ukhwah Hi-Tea Ceremony Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE).

The congregation has had a meaningful experience this time after not being able to hold tarawih prayers in congregation at the mosque and surau ramadhan last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The congregation is grateful for the opportunity to relive last year's desolate Ramadan. The congregation, on the other hand, hopes that the upcoming Ramadan will be more vibrant and enjoyable than this year's.
