BREAKING FAST IN DATARAN KEMERDEKAAN SHAH ALAM DURING MCO

SHAH ALAM - Saturday, 24 April 2021. The arrival of Ramadan last year was a little gloomy since the whole country was under a Movement Control Order (PKP) in an attempt to stop the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Muslims are forced to break their fast at home and are unable to purchase food at the Ramadan bazaar as a result of this. In reality, it is forbidden to break one's fast with family or friends in public or open spaces.

As a result, this year, despite the fact that the world remains in the grip of a pandemic, Muslims take advantage of the chance to break their fast in public places. Breaking is common in the field area or around the square, and it has become a ‘mandatory event' to be performed with friends or family every year other than on weekends.

Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam is one of the places where Selangor residents go for picnics to break their fast on weekends. The Dataran Kemerdekaan area is quiet due to its proximity to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, also known as the State Mosque in Shah Alam, which makes the local scenery very beautiful at sunset.
